I wet down the roof and awning, then spray down both with Simple Green in a gallon sprayer. Roll up the awning while brushing the roof with a broom. Spray it down and then go to work on the awning. Once in the spring and once in the autumn. Both roof and awning have spray chemicals to seal them up for a period of time.
