Beehive in hookup. Typical?

I am no rookie but I forgot to check box at a family setup. The wasp got me before I saw it. Darn thing sent me to the hospital with epi pen in hand.

I have seen wasps and black widow spiders in pedestal boxes but never bees.

I always look, taught DD to carefully open and look for bees.

The rookie comment made me chuckle out loud!

Found a hornet's nest in my A/C, and another hornet's nest in the propane tank cover. Blecch.

Never found any bees in 7 yrs. FT........several Black Widow Spiders have run across my hand/up my arm but I did the 'heebie-jeebie' dance and got rid of them.

I had beehives in three boxes in one campgrounds before finding one that both had ac and no wasps. I think I checked and passed on 4 spots total, then had to use 3 layers of 2X8 lumber to level in the 5th spot. Owner just kept telling me to move till I found a good one. Not a place I would go back to. Was 4 star rated but had changed owners a couple of years before.

Have had bees in power box 2 or 3 times in 5 years,, Never been stung. Have story about bees and roofing though (Later perhaps).

Air Raid sirens/Tornado/Storm watch.. Not usually on FIRST night but I can tell you that Midland all-hazards alert radio has been very annoying on occasion..

Still,, Would rather have it go off and tune in local Skywarn net than not have it go off and SURPRISE!!!!!
