The gold/yellow cleaner sold for $1 at Dollar Tree and other dollar stores does a great job if you let it stay on for 30 seconds or so.
It's called "Awesome".And it is the best cleaner for a dollar. - jwmIIExplorerThe Aero wash wax mop kit will work for you. It is pricey to say the least. Check it out. I choked it back and bought a setup. I have been very pleased with the results and the equipment is excellent
www.aircraftspruce.com - Bamaman11ExplorerI've got an aluminum sided travel trailer (1995 model), and it looks like heck. Nothing I've done has got all the black streaks off, and it's ready for paint.
Best stuff is Awesome ($1 per bottle @ Dollar General) and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. However both are microabrasive and will remove paint over a number of years' usage.
We've bought a new fiberglass sided fifth wheel, and will be washing the roof and siding often in the future. - SHExplorer

Works really well to remove both black streaks and wax. - noe-placeExplorerI've used baby wipes for years and they take the whole streak off an leave a layer of protection behind.

It has been a few years so no baby wipes around here to check but I still remember the smell, before use that is. I suspect they contain rubbing alcohol, which is an excellent cleaner for more things than babys. I also suspect that it will remove wax. - noe-placeExplorer

Nope, I use those that have a lotion base that leaves a protective coating on the rv just as it would a baby. And in addition to that I wax it every once in awhile so it's got double protection in the areas that tend to streak. - Jerry9nExplorerTry Pledge and a microfiber cloth.

What mixture rate do you use?
On the exterior I used it as a spot (streak) cleaner full strength. Interior cleaning I would use it diluted 5 to 1.
Here is what Awesome says:

Spray on, wipe off. Probably should wax after. I use on my aluminum sided TT and works great, no matter how black or how long.
