I've three on trailers throughout the years. First one did some damage to a plastic fender before I could pull over, second I noticed right away and third I didn't know until a Texas State Trooper pulled me over to tell me and try to write me a ticket for "unsafe equipment" (on brand new tires I bought just for that trip). After some honest discussion with him, he not only didn't write me a ticket, he helped me change the tire on the freeway shoulder. Luckily I had bought the warranty on the new tires so I had them upgraded and replaced. Now, I have a TPMS and love the peace of mind!
