The responses on this thread seem to be at one end or the other of a spectrum. We've only been full-timing for a little over a year - and stay in military campgrounds whenever possible - but we've yet to encounter unpleasant laundry conditions. Our RV is prepped for W/D, but we 1) don't want to give up the space, and 2) don't want to have to be continuously running small loads to keep up with the laundry. We used a commercial laundromat two days ago. With the large washers and dryers, we got everything done in 1.5 hours (two weeks worth of laundry with sheets, towels and a mattress pad) and were on our way. The laundromat was clean and well laid out with folding tables, hanging racks, etc. I just told my wife I'm writing this and she wants me to add that we've had a good time meeting and talking with locals when we do things like laundry in town, too. We've met some really nice people. We understand that not everyone may enjoy that kind of experience the way we do.
