OK, I've heard some reports (I'm not an RVer yet) that camp ground laundries can be offensive. I've heard of people pissing in the dryers, Used diapers and remnants in the dryers, Having to check the dryers with a flashlight for debris, gum, etc.
My question is: Has anyone found these things to be true and do you recommend a laundrymat in town rather than a campground.
As absurd as it seems that this is happening, it is making me think TT with W/d vs Class C.
Urinating in dryers? Yuck that's really deep but no never seen or heard of that.
Used diapers or remnants? In the Land of Pampers happy to have missed that too even when my kiddos used cloth diapers and we had a diaper service.
Having to check the dryers for debris, gum, etc.? Runaway socks fer sure in both washing machines and dryers but of course the same thing seems to happen in private washing appliances.
I rarely stay at campgrounds with an onsite laundromat so town laundromats it is.
I have to admit that as a city high rise dweller the only time I ever had a washing machine was for about 4-5 years in a brownstone and that was only because my grandmother gifted me with her 1950's era machine. Great for the convenience of midnight cleaning as a working mom but otherwise kind of useless in my life. Certainly of no use to me as an empty nester or single person. Were I fulltiming for years on end I might consider getting one but not to be a week long tripper. I'd rather use my limited RV space in different manners.
