Had that happen with a Ford F350 diesel pickup. Had a lady run a stopsign in a Honda and hit my drivers side front wheel and totaled the truck. Her car was totaled as well and she went to the hospital. I had my wife pick me up and my truck went to the scrapyard. She knocked the front axle out, got the engine with the 4wd components, bent the frame and bent the body mounts. Insurance wrote it off and I got a new truck and someone got a lot of marketable parts.
