Yeah, I don't think bazookas are really meant for small targets. Maybe a crossbow or slingshot?

YES, I would take the bite before I killed the dog. It's just a bite, now if there was a pack of them that might be a different story. That situation may be life threatening. But a single dog, I'd use the stick and not the gun
