Don't camp on holidays, too old too smart. All the guys that drink 2 beers and are all of a sudden superman and well educated, you can tell by the use of four letter words in a sentence.
As to dogs, I've taken a walk in the woods with several and one of us returned.
People come first dogs come second, we have a bunch of neighbor dogs that lick me to death and are friends so I'm not a dog hater. But an aggressive dog is not to be taken lightly.
Camping several years ago, maybe 45 or so, god in a tent yet, got visited by several free dogs even with a leash rule in effect. Talk to the offending parties and got the go to hell I'll do what I want, OK. Next morning the herd of dog tried to get into my ice chest as day break was the release time. I put two rounds down the 44 mag Redhawk and the rest of the weekend the leash rule seemed to be in effect. NO I didn't shoot a dog, but an owner is not out of line is it?
So many shumb dit moves on the Holidays, fire and water and firewater.
