Where the hell are you people camping? LMAO!
In 40+ years of camping on the 4th of July weekend I can't recall any of this happening; ever.
In 40+ years of camping I can count on one hand things like this happening ever when I was on vacation.
Once in a great, great while I will see a dog running unleashed. I've never had a dog come into my space and growl at me. I've never got into a fight or even an argument with a drunk. I do hear gen-sets run after hours once in a while. But that is usually short lived. Once in a while people with outdoor speakers think that everybody likes their choice of music.
But then again I work all year and only get 2 weeks to relax so maybe I'm not looking to try out my new ACP on some stray dog or looking to roll around on the ground swapping punches with someone that is a little drunk.
Have fun sticking banana's up generators exhaust pipes, shooting stray dogs, fighting with your fellow campers, and shooting at peoples speakers. I will be the person that is relaxing in my chair watching all of this go down.
While I usually don't camp over holidays. I agree completely with you. I don't have 40 years of camping, maybe close to 20 years. I have met nothing but friendly people, some from other countries. I invited a couple from Holland over for Dinner they brought some wine in a Ouray Co. I met another nice couple from Germany with their teenage kids in Manila Utah. Some of the people I stay in contact with and exchange e-mails. If I had all the problems that some of these people seem to have I think I would find another hobby. While some of my experiences have been less then stellar none have been horrible. I guess I'm just lucky.
If you happen across my site I usually have a pot of coffee in the morning and a spare chair that I would share. By the way my Collies and I are other both friendly and neither of us bite.:B
