One of the best commercial campgrounds we've been in had rules posted everywhere in big clear lettering .... right where the prohibited activity applied ... not some great big old list written somewhere on a sign or piece of paper. I don't remember where it was or it's name, but I think the campground had "Granny's" in it's name.
This campground was just the way we like it ( ... when in a campground that is, as we prefer boondocking):
- Quiet all the time.
- No noisey "you know whats", or pets either, running around.
- Clean everywhere.
- Mowed grass everywhere.
- Level campsites so we didn't have to use the blocks.
- Decent hookups that worked and weren't bent, rusted, crooked, hard to get at, etc.
- Sites easy to get in-to and out-of.
- Dark at night except for some occasional lights along the camp roads.
- Ultra clean restrooms, showers, and sink areas with non-scratched clear mirrors.
- Etc., etc. ... you get the picture.
In other words, the camground was nice and boring, just the way we want it when paying for camping, with the rules posted everywhere right on the spot so there would be no mis-understanding by anyone when trying to figure out the difference between common sense and nonsense. Sometimes it's a real pleasant experience to be treated like a juvenile in order that any old juveniles who might be around you know exactly what they're supposed to do - assuming of course that they can read and comprehend.
