You need to make sure the receiver and dish are compatible. They'd have to be years apart in age for that to be the problem. Or different makers.
Then the aiming part. Not as easy as you'd think. They sell the satalite aiming tools online. Once you have a stable level base to put it on, you temporarily attach one of these aiming devices and move the dish until you have the strongest signal. Slight adjustments can ruin or loose the signal.

If it's HD it's real tricky to get all 3 satellites dialed in for 101W. I have two free sattelite Finder apps. In my hands they work best on the iPad vs iPhone.
For Internet streaming, most parks either have too much demand on them or too poor of a signal. There are exceptions.
