If your spouse has a full life and doesn't need you for entertainment or to keep loneliness at bay, then time apart is not a problem. I've been taking separate vacations for 30 plus years with no harm done. I enjoy camping alone, not isolation so much, as just being able to completely relax on my schedule and no one else's other than nature's. Campground people are so friendly there's always social interaction throughout the day. Depends on what you are trying to accomplish and your relationship.
