OK. That's a bit more info and apparently I was writing whilst you posted again, LOL.
Since you like the Aussie propane grill and know it well how about buying another?
If I didn't say it before I'll say it again: I don't propane grill so really have "no dog in this fight". I do however enjoy ease of use, easy storage and longevity in whatever cooking appliances I use which is why I bothered to answer.
I see a 2 burner @ HD's website that costs 149 bucks.
We'll the Aussie really is a cheaper grill and comes with the mount, however the new camper only has the rails on the side of the camper which I'm not a fan of. The bumper mount is an additional $150, so I would have about $300 after purchasing noth. The stand alone models are about $100 cheaper.
Most people seem to be using the table top models but I was looking to keep this near the outdoor kitchen so either I would need an additional table or get a stand alone model.
My other concern is where to store it. I will be moving from a TT to 5er so I should have plenty of room but I don't have the camper yet since it's on order.
Point of use location is a smart way to go whether in your home or RV IMO:c. The needless walking around to accomplish daily chores in many modern day kitchens frequently make me scratch my head.
OK so you have an RV with an outdoor kitchen and want to add on a cooking appliance and don't want it attached to the side of the 5er. Makes sense on many levels.
Does your outdoor kitchen have counter space for the grill next to the sink AND headroom? It might use up limited counter space but if you use it up and add a portable side table to use as cutting/prep space might be a more useful setup. Currently I'm using an end of season Walgreen purchased fold-able plastic patio table ($5.00)for food prepping and landing station and can think of no reason why it wouldn't work for a propane grill; Folds with no excess gaps.
This idea doesn't solve your selection for the grill of choice but it does give you different options to better get the setup you want.
I'll leave the overall grill selection to the propane users:).
