We've have the Weber Smokey Joe, Weber Q, Coleman Roadtrip and now a smaller Coleman Instastart.
The Smokey Joe was just too messy and it's kind of tall for storing in storage bays.
The Weber Q was too tall for the TT storage bays we had in the TT. Had to put it in the bed of the truck. Had the cart for it . Ended up putting on our back deck and used it till the burners burnt up.
Bought the Coleman Roadtrip when we got the motorhome. Needed something with a bigger cooking surface than the Q. Got the storage bag with it. It took up a lot of room inside the storage bay. Ended up putting it on the deck at the house
and used it for a while. Wife ended up not liking it. She doesn't want to use the Big green Egg we have and insisted on the Weber Genesis for the new patio.
We currently have the Coleman Instastart portable. Works good. Packs up flat and has a little protective case. We no longer needed the bigger cooking surface of the Roadtrip.
I just ordered a Cuisanart Panini Press thing. It has a surface that has the grid on one side and smooth surface on the other. It opens up to where you can use the smooth surface like a griddle. Of course it's electric, so we will need to be plugged in, but we will see how we like it. It should be in this week and we will take it with us camping this weekend.
