As one of those that live in the Great North wet, I would just bring in the bedroom slide never gathered water, and seals wiped the sides.
The big slide I would bring in about 6', and stop for about 30 seconds, any standing water would drain from the tilt, then bring on in, seals will wipe the ends, done deal.
I did just add slide toppers!! :B
