No, the numbers weren't flipped but I just got back from the re weigh.
Steer 2600
Drives 3000 (6600- 2600)
Trailer 5400
12,000 total.
This is however with no people or dogs in the tahoe and no food, gear or water in the TH
Empty the Tahoe probably weighs 5500#
So 60% of that should be 3300 on the front and 2700 on the rear. Probably. Johnson moving and storage wants $12 per weigh so I just spent the $36 on the above numbers.
Inches from ground to top of the wheel wells
Tahoe MT W/O WD Bars W/ WD Bars
Rear WW 37" 33.5" 35"
Front WW 35" 37" 36"
Top of Ball mount 16.5" 10" 13"
So it is pretty close to level and as I said it handles fine. How much weight do you expect the WDH to put back on the front axel?
These numbers look much more like what I was expecting to see the first time. All I can think of is I had the front trailer axle on the seam between scale pads so it partially registered to the drive axel numbers.
By the time I add 600# or so of people and dogs and stuff to the Tahoe for camping and the 350# of fresh water just behind the tongue I will probably still be close to the 3900# max for the RAWR so I still want to add the fresh water tank to the rear of the trailer for balance but then I should be good to go. I will also be upgrading the rear tires to E rated before the next trip.
Maybe I shouldn't tell my wife about the re weigh. "For the love of our kids I have to have an ATV to balance the camper!!!!" :)
Also, I know how to spell axle but my computer keeps going through and changing it.
