I tilted the head which angles the bars down so now I have 5 links distributing the same weight I was with 3 links. It's quieter than it was and I now have the ability to tighten it to 4 links and distribute more weight but I am uptight about the hitch. I hope GM put the $2 they saved by putting a crappy weak hitch on their $45k vehicle to a good cause.
I ordered a 25 gal fresh water tank which I will mount under the rear of the trailer which will take about 250 lbs off the hitch and will probably put in a second depending on how it goes. Two 25 gal tanks is going to fit better and be cheaper than getting a custom larger tank that would fit right. This will give me the ability to balance the trailer correctly with or without toys in the back and I hate running out of water. I might end up mounting a toy fuel tank underneath as well.
Re weighing would be a several hour job and until I get the tanks mounted would just tell me it's heavy on the hitch. I will after I do the mods and pay a little more attention to the math. I'm usually pretty good at it but I was multi tasking ;)
