Motorcycles sometimes don't.....as well as some in-dash units that have a multi-functional antenna.
I was the kid building linears and fixing radios since 12 with many years in a radio shop, and have never seen a real CB radio without an SO-239, not including any of the HT's Any real CB, 10meter and below radio all run SO-239 unless balanced twin with MAYBE the possible exception of "package" systems for sale at K-Mart and those were a joke.
