Chase Mastercard a rip off

You need to grow a bit thicker skin if you're going to play on internet forums. Not everyone will be a yes-man and agree with you, and some will disagree vociferously. This is a pretty darn courteous forum as forums go.

I certainly don't believe you were insulted or called illiterate, but not everyone agreed that the party you were blaming was necessarily the sole entity at fault. Your last post bordered on whining, and "If I don't get my way I'm taking my ball and going home." Just get used to the idea that everybody is not to see things your way and you'll stress out a lot less.

I would gladly give the name of the shop so no one else will ruin their vacation and go through what we had go though to get our money back. I decided not to when I was told I am illiterate After all who will believe an illiterate person like me Sorry I just don't think this site is for helping RVers it's for letting a few sick people post. There should be some restrictions and only let persons post that have constructive ideas to help RVers Even though all might not agree with some posters we log on to these sites to learn not trash.

Recived 220.00 dw recieved 340.00 from a chase settlement over the******they pulled during the recession as already mentioned in this thread. No more dealings with this company

Chase is already on my list. :M Chase did not fulfill a written agreement on a credit card balance transfer. Chase added fees after a year of making minimum payments. By the time the New York Attorney General required the fees removed I had paid off the loan. No offer to reinstate. Caused a big cash crunch for me. :M

Just so you know Ruffian, the credit card companies do not pay for the losses in these types of cases. They do what is called a charge back, meaning they take the money back from the merchant and give it back to you. They only do this if after their investigation they determine you are right. So if you got your money back from the merchant through other channels, then you got your money back.

And here is something else that comes out of a Federal Law called the Fair Credit Billing Act. This info is from the FTC webpage:

"Disputes about the quality of goods and services are not "billing errors," so the dispute procedure doesn’t apply. However, if you have a problem with goods or services you paid for with a credit or charge card, you can take the same legal actions against the card issuer as you can take under state law against the seller.

To take advantage of this protection, you must have made the purchase (it must be for more than $50) in your home state or within 100 miles of your current billing address, and make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute with the seller first.

The dollar and distance limitations don't apply if the seller also is the card issuer — or if a special business relationship exists between the seller and the card issuer."
