Fee increase must be across the board at all Conservation Authorities.
I just checked Guelph Lake and the fee with HST is over $53 plus $13 reservation fee.
I think we may be heading to Michigan more if the fees get much higher.

As an Ontarian you're probably aware all these different conservation areas here in Ontario are completely separate, one from the other, and that's another thing that really annoys me - if I buy an annual pass for the Hamilton Conservation Authority (which Valens is part of) I can't use it in any other conservation area, just those parks within the HCA. :M Since they're all separate entities your observation about the commonality in fees is interesting ... makes one wonder why? :h These significantly increased conservation area fees are also annoying because they offer no discounts for seniors or the disabled whereas in the Ontario provincial park system seniors such as myself qualify for a 20% discount on campsite fees, disabled for a 50% discount, either of which make these campsite fees significantly more tolerable. It's bad enough to spend $120+ for a couple nights camping, 16 hrs of which I'm in bed sleeping anyway, then be told I have to leave my site early in the day. Seems this 9 am check out was a mistake so my blood pressure has dropped a bit ... but I still don't think a 30 amp site is worth $120+ for 2 nts. :M
