As for the belief that such an error should have been worked out before implementation, I can say that this does not happen with any business model. Computer glitches, typing errors, etc., get missed all the time by companies. It's not just a government thing - all businesses have something like this happen. You do everything you can to get it right, then if/when something pops up after release, you fix it. Sort of like recalls. :)
Understand, and had I known at the time I obviously wouldn't have started this thread, but for a regular user of the reservation system like myself it's still
really annoying. :M
FWIW, I received yet another reply from conservation area staff thanking me for screen shots I had forwarded to them which illustrated this check in / check out time error, saying they would forward them to
"our software technician". If I didn't know better that tells me they're trying to lower their operating costs by ditching CAMIS which is a Canadian based reservation system contractor used by parks all over the world and instead are trying to do this themselves. :R
