Check In / Check Out Times
Here in Ontario in the provincial park system check out time from a campsite has been 2 pm for as long as I can remember. Obviously if someone else is on the site we're checking in to the current occ...

A 9 am check out time (which initiated this discussion) is early but I wouldn't consider 1 pm as "early" or unreasonable. Personally, I prefer 2 pm but even 1 pm means we can still enjoy a full morning at the beach, return to our campsite for lunch, then strike camp and depart by the required check out time, especially if we do some of the prep for departure the night before. The idea posed by some of an extended check out time on Sun afternoons may seem attractive to weekenders but for those of us with flexible schedules who often arrive on Sun afternoons this idea wouldn't work at all and in a publicly funded system like we have here in Ontario provincial parks just wouldn't sell. :(
