C2C has a shrinking membership and a shrinking number of member parks… because of exactly what Old-Biscuit and so many others have done…
So unless things have changed, It is supposed to be a reciprocal agreement between the member parks… but many of the home parks being sold on the used market, are selling memberships to people that never intend to use them as a home park, just a vehicle to get them into the use of the reciprocal system… all this does is load the system up making it much harder to get reservations, especially in the more popular areas…
Most of these sleazy home parks sell so many of what are supposedly used memberships they could never accommodate their own members reasonably let alone the traveling public… they are gaming the system (and crushing the C2C system under its own weight)…
So many of the good parks have dropped out of the system because of the gamers that now C2C has to rely more heavily on its good neighbor system than it does member parks to ensure space for its traveling C2C members… however these GN parks set their own restrictions, like blocking out entire seasons in the most popular places…
I don’t know how many member parks there are left, but I would guess about 1/3 of what there once was (somewhere around 1400+ then)…
I saved a lot of money using C2C when there were a lot of member parks and you could get into them…
So used is the cheap way to buy, as long as you are aware that each one brings C2C closer to its end…
