Collapsible water hose
They look handy but are they safe for potable water and will they hold city water pressure without bursting? Thanks, Radar.

I was given one as a gift when I started full timing. I really liked how light it was and how easy it was to store. I did not use it as my 'regular' drinking water hose because I just really did not trust it (and I don't think it was rated for that anyway). I used it for washing my truck and other odds and ends.
My mistake was to leave it outside curled up next to the water spigot throughout my winter stay in Arizona. I turned on the water one day and a portion of it swelled up like a snake that had just swallowed a passing VW. I watched it, enthralled, and after about 30 seconds it burst. It was composed of two layers - The outer material, which provided all it's strength, had deteriorated due to sitting out in the sun.
