Cooking while driving???

interesting thread. I never wanted to cook while underway. There isn't any food that can't wait to be cooked til I am stopped and in more control of the situation. We find there is just no need but it is interesting to read those who put a crockpot in the sink and travel :) and while I feel that is safe, using the stove or oven while in motion won't ever happen.

I wouldn't use the oven though because whatever you'd put in there could easily move around on sharp turns or bumps.

Yes much safer than hibachi BBQ indoors ;)

Otherwise my propane is always on. I would not cook on the stove or oven for fear the food could too easily spill. Crock in the sink or a quick zap in the microwave.

swap out your cooktop with gimbaled marine galley version with pot holders. Boats of all sizes cook while underway.

I use a Dutch oven in the oven. I prop a camera mono-pod from the door to the base of the cupboard opposite. Works like a hot **** and after a 5 hour drive? A nice slow cooked anything tastes mighty fine.
