Are you all out from under all the snow in Boston yet?

Not even close! Local weather guys have done some calculation based on norms and figure mid-April before the snow is gone. That's in Boston. Other areas such as where I live got more snow than they did. My yard varies from a low of about a foot to upwards of 5 feet. We had a lot of drifting plus ya gotta pile it somewhere! The paths we snowblowed to the dog kennel, bird feeders, etc., are now almost snow free, but the mud is horrendous. Ground is still too frozen to absorb much.On an up note (if you want to call it that!) Boston beat the all-time record for snowfall in a season! 108.6 inches, with 90 of it falling in 30 days. And the "season" goes from 6/30-7/1 to include spring and fall snows, so it ain't over yet! Other records fell as well, such as highest snow total in a month.Just a head's up to some of you who might be considering early-season camping-bring your mud boots! :BThanks for asking!

April 11, 1988 saw 6" of new snow in northern MA and southern NH. A few weeks ago Lowell MA had the most snow recorded in the state. I don't know what the number is now. With luck she may be able to see her lawn by the end of May. :B

A few weeks ago Lowell MA had the most snow recorded in the state.At that point I believe they had 110 inches. There were a number of storms after that. I live near Lowell. Despite much net searching, I can't seem to find official totals for Lowell or Billerica at this point.With luck she may be able to see her lawn by the end of May.At least it will cut down on the mowing! :B We figure the snowbank at the end of the cul-de-sac will still be here on the 4th of July. The winter of 95/96 was our first year in this house, and somewhere we have a picture taken on 7/3/96 of a patch of snow that was about a square foot. It melted that day.

Yep, was hoping to camp May 1 this year. Not looking too good.

Try living in VT I love to ski and in fact ski almost everyday conditions have been spectacular BUT the over 250 inches we have received in our corner of the world is not melting temps are getting to about 36 degrees but not warm enough to really help in melting, worst part is before we bring our new TT home I have to have some excavation work done to make room and with the ground frozen beyond 4ft that wont happen anytime soon.....DW is not thrilled about me parking camper in front yard where I finally got grass to grow this past summer after building the house just over a yr ago...
