The OP legally took ownership of the new rig when he signed the paperwork and signed over the trade's. He should have had insurance on it at that time. This is not the dealers fault. If the driver did not have insurance, the OP's insurance should cover the damage and go after the un insured driver.

Really simple, you call YOUR insurance agent and make a claim.

Or, present the problem to your insurance company and perhaps they can offer guidance as to how you should proceed.

You need to be asking a tort attorney, not a RV forum.

if you've taken delivery (signed the papers, etc) notify your insurance agent and go from there. if you've not taken delivery DON'T, take delivery that is...it's not your problem.

The dealer took his $...our truck and 5th Wheel as a trade and was able to sell it right away, meanwhile the RV that was sold to us was at the lot until some prep were done before us picking it up, never even a letter of apologies, that is what really upset me and I am concerned that the resale value maybe reduced because of this
