- Sprink-FitterExplorerIt's the copper they steal it for, not for the cord itself.

Someone will steal anything. When we stop at Wal Mart or other places, especially areas we don't know, I stay at the coach while she shops or vice verse.
One of my Grandmothers used to worry about everything too. I guess she was right. She died at 92!
I am sooooo glad I do not go thru life worried constantly. - tomman58ExplorerBeing retired, we kris cross the USA all the time but have never given the smallest thought to overnighting at anywhere but an RV park. We have been to many, many parks and have our favorites across the US, there is far more to do and far more satisfaction in dealing with trusted locations or even finding new ones.

How sad:( - path1ExplorerWalmarts, truck stops etc will vary by the location they're in. Usually the further away from large populations you are the better you are. Always good to double check before moving any equipment.
We were at a Lewiston ID Walmart, a very good one IMO and this Class A pulls up. He un-hitched his toad and parked it where the front end was pointed toward a culvert type thing, and then blocked the rear of his toad with his Class A. This was the same guy that set off his car alarm by rolling over the keys in the middle of night. - colliehaulerExplorer IIIAnytime I park in a public place I do a quick inspection of components. Not necessarily for theft but for any problems I do a walk around the rig.
If at a restaurant I park where I can see the rig. If overnight stop the Collies will wake me if anyone gets close to the rig. If they hear anything I get poked with a cold wet nose. - mlts22Explorer IIThe main thing is doing the final check, walking around the vehicles before leaving off. This will catch the flipped latch, the unchained tow hook, the unplugged cable lying on the ground, and other items that kids tend to do.
- Dadio24ExplorerI remove the jumper...then connect and check everything in the AM before we start on our way. This in not being paranoid, but a safety check for the next day. Not scared about the loss...but the opportunity to steal something is on someones mind everyday. Just as the super-rich shoplift... Why?...because of the adventure.

Reap what you sow. At Wallmart you only make yourself a target.
