Don't idle your loud diesel at 5am for so long!!

Seems every early morning at many RV parks there are a few people who wish to get on the road early. I'm often one of those. But why do so many have to idle their loud diesels for extended periods o...

It has a warm-up mode, after starting I turn on the exhaust brake in neutral. Then it kicks out when the engine has warmed up.


Total waste and detrimental to the motor. Idling newer diesels is really hard on them. Oil pressure up and stable put it in gear and go. Idling returns you exactly 0 MPG.
