Dropped my CW and GS membership

remember if it wasn,t for junk mail all those mail men would be out of work, 95%of mail is junk.

We do the same and write "offer Declined" on the paperwork. I no longer get tons of credit card offers.

I do not receive junk mail from GS.

I went to the good sam club website, logged in and used the contact tab and sent them an email requesting that I be removed from mailing lists.

They are very responsive to my requests. I received a response the same day, stating they would remove my name from their mailing list(s). They explained it would take up to 2 weeks.

They have been responsive, and I do not receive their mailings.

Worked for me.

I never got much from them when I was a member.

The thing I did get that I got the most kick out of was the "Try our ERS free for a month" mailings where they have a card in it that expires at the end of the month... and I get it 2 or 3 days before month end. Always laughed at those.

I did not renew GS last year and they sent me a FREE membership along with a letter saying "we don't want to lose you". I thought it was kind of dumb, since they couldn't SELL their product to me, they GAVE it to me. It reminded me of magazines and newspapers that are desparate to enhance their "circulation" figures...so they can show advertisers how many customers they have. I do very well without GS, as the only thing I benefited from was RV park discounts, which I get anyway thru Escapees, AARP, or just being a senior.

I am sure they are having a board meeting today wondering what went wrong… :)

I was a GS member back in 1974. Camping World only had one store then and it was located in Bowling Green, KY. They had a campground there named Beach Bend. You could stay there for the first night for 10 CENTS!!!

Trailer Life's campground directory was the only one available and a major draw to join.
