- 4X4DodgerExplorer IIStrangely enough my gauges seem to not only work pretty well but are fairly accurate (2004 Gulfstream Innsbruck).
The only time my gauges gave me a known false reading is when we were camping in freezing weather and a layer of ice formed on the inside of the tank causing the gauge to read 3/4. Once it warmed up it went back to normal. - fla-gypsyExplorerWell it will work until you fill it up again anyway. I pay no attention to those lights

I haven't looked at tank indicators in 7 yrs.
Don't care what they indicate.
Toilet burps....time to dump
Sink/shower starts draining slower....time to dump
Water pump goes burrrrrrrrr....should have already put water in fresh water tank
Couldn't have said it better....
Monitoring those gauges is an exercise in futility.

good grief 2oldman, that's almost on the verge of gross.
I hope he was referring to the gauge. If we didn't see the E, it didn't happen.:B - hersheyExplorerYou do know that tank level indicators were developed by an evil mind. You can spend countless number of hours that you could have spent getting a wiggly worm on a barbed hook, trying to keep them working. Forget the gauge and just keep track of the days use on the calender and when you get to the magic day you know you have to dump. Been doing that, along with probably the majority of other RVers, for over 10 years of fulltiming.

- therinkExplorerIt will read full after about 5 flushes. All it takes is a splash of TP to signal the gauge see sensors. I flush my tank every dump but don't even look at the black tank gauge any more. I know when it is full just based on use and sound.
