We live on 10 acres about 60 miles from gulf coast above Monticello Florida . We could offer free parking , elec and water for anyone from coastal areas fleeing a "cane". Dogs and kids would be no pro...

60 miles is a lot better than those along the coast . Actually 60 miles is a long way , most canes will loose about one MPH for every mile over land . I have lived in Daytona Florida for 60 some years and have never ran from a cane .
This storm that is here know is no threat for wind damage unless a tree falls on your head , the danger will be flood damage , same with most storms . Luckily where this storm is headed is not very populated , largest town is Perry Fl .
No one is worried about it except the TV stations .
