Fleeing a Storm !

We live on 10 acres about 60 miles from gulf coast above Monticello Florida . We could offer free parking , elec and water for anyone from coastal areas fleeing a "cane". Dogs and kids would be no problem. Campgrounds usually fill up early .
Maybe Good Sam should start a list of people willing to do same !
If needed call , 850-997-0129 Bob

get those peanuts planted lizzie. I am developing a taste for the boiled ones and will be tracking thru Dothan early this winter. :W
  • Boondockers would be a great thing to join if someone is worried about this. There would be many people who would host you at their homes for an overnight, possibly longer depending on their situation.

  • We will keep that in mind if we are fleeing snow here in Michigan. lol
  • I am slightly further north than Bob (about 90 miles north of Tallahassee) and only have room for 1-2 RV's but would be willing to host someone traveling to get away from hurricanes. I have had to evacuate due to flooding from Tropical Storms, so understand how your mind works (or doesn't) during an evacuation. Now live further from river and flood zones so more likely to be cut off from town than actually flooded. If hurricanes are predicted for your area, PM me and I will share phone and other information.
  • That's a really nice gesture. It fits the definition of "neighborly" very well. Thank you.
  • If your acreage is in the path of a "cane", there's no way it's safe enough (at just 60 miles from the coast) to ride it out in an RV.
  • Thanks on behalf of all, Bob! I have put you in my travel book and hopefully will never call you. But really good to know.
