- Bears_DenExplorerAs a friend of mine always says, " little bit of rain, little bit of wind ". Rain chances are the same in my neck of the woods as they are any other summer day.
- fla-gypsyExplorerIt will be business as usual for me. Have to work.
- mickey48ExplorerOn this topic, we will be heading to key west in a few weeks.
1) i know when in key west listen to and pay close attentiion to the forecast.
2) when traveling through Florida whats a good and reliable news source to see if any weather is coming mainland that would effect our travels.? - LadyRVerExplorer IIStaying...this time. About 25 miles inland, northeast of Tampa, FL. Right now rain, but not hard. Thought long and hard, but places I usually run to are more in the path than just staying put.
I could have gone southward, but if the storm turns inland earlier than projected, that could be another problem. So, battened down the hatches, brought slide in,
Secured things outside and sit it out. - riven1950Explorerwas planning to drive , not towing, to Jax from NC Friday. May wait till Sat depending on forecast tomorrow. Looks like it will blow right over / past us but not too bad as compared to past storms. mostly a rain event and dangerous rip currents I think.
- JoeHExplorer IIIIt'll cool things off a bit and give us a couple of days of down time.
- w4phjExplorerI'm staying and we need the rain.
- Sam_SpadeExplorerI am.....but not because of the weather.
The one coming tomorrow is pretty tame by hurricane standards.
Only coastal and low lying (nearby rivers and streams)areas should have a serious problem.
The heavy rain might actually be good in that it will provide somewhat of a "tune up" for those areas built in the last 10 years since the last big one that went through the north central part of the state.
