was planning to drive , not towing, to Jax from NC Friday. May wait till Sat depending on forecast tomorrow. Looks like it will blow right over / past us but not too bad as compared to past storms. mostly a rain event and dangerous rip currents I think.
Might be a good idea. but your going to have a nasty drive. Be careful!
- Retired_JSOExplorer IIWe like many other campers were told to leave Rainbow Springs around 8 am this morning. We had decided to leave today anyway not wanting to drive home, 2 1/2 hours with a cross wind, rain etc. The State Park's action was taken because the governor placed many county's under a tropical storm watch. My thought, this action was taken at least 1 day too early now that the storms track has changed. What did happen was several State Parks closed and evicted campers onto the highways with no safe place to go based way too early as to the storms path. Did those county's close down their everyday business, no, so we stopped at our favorite seafood place and dropped another cash payment.
- Playtime_IIExplorerClearwater (West of Tampa) just hit 10" of rain and the storm is still well off shore (6pm, Wed). Flooding is our biggest concern here.
- wanderingbobExplorer IIWe just left a fish camp just south of Tallahassee on the coast , we were 2 1/2 feet above sea level . Management asked all to leave , wise move .
Storms are common for us old Florida hands , been here over seventy years and ain't got blown away , yet . - tomkaren13Explorer

I'm staying and we need the rain.
X2 - mabynackExplorer III'm in Panama City and we have a 60 percent chance of rain on Thursday and then it's supposed to clear off and be nice for the weekend. The local weather stations aren't predicting anything wild.
- JWRobertsExplorerTo us Floridians, that is just a heavy rain with some wind. No biggie. And we do need the rain.

Nat'l Hurricane Center - WTP-GCExplorerNaturally, we had been planning a trip to the Big Bend Gulf Coast region for several months. Our plans are now "likely" to change LOL
- Bob_ShawExplorerI sat through hurricane force winds up here in Georgia in 1995. Everything worked-out ok, but, when I got out and surveyed the damage all around me, it became very obvious that staying in the RV was a really bad decision. I guess as my dad always said: "The Good Lord looks after fools, drunks and little children"
