Ford with a Cummins

Saw one today at the stop light . Wish I was quick enough to take a pic. F350 with a few years on it. Even had the 6.7 Cummins badge. The sound was distinctly a cummins.

It happens!

And so did a lot of Ford "B" series school buses.

We have a 2012 F750 Ford line truck with a Cummins in it in the utility company I work at....It's weird but it's definitely a cummins under the hood it also had DEF tank next to the fuel tank.

Why is it weird? Many F-650 and F-750s have Cummins engines from the factory.

the link above is to a truck owned by a friend of mine. I wish I could buy it. It truly is a beast of a vehicle. F350 DRW....

    Nothing better than a 12V Cummins. Longbed/four-door crewcab/6-speed manual/4x4 What a setup!

I personally know two doods that have done 5.9 24V swaps into their 7.3 powersmokes...one is a twin turbo.
One of the best change-outs going baby.
    They have never looked back...

  • It was a F350 srw for sure. It was obviously worked on, as the hood was a after market. Probably because the Cummins sits higher in the truck than the original Engine. Some guy must have really hated whatever he had in it before.

F450/F550's have or at least used to have Cummins option

Ford never has offered a Cummins in anything smaller than an F-650.
  • I've been researching a Cummins 5.9 swap into my V10 gasser truck. There are companies that specialize in this swap and can make it appear pretty much stock.

Expensive, but man, what a truck.

Actually it's the 650's and up offer the Cummins. Does that mean anything?
