Go back or not.

I had my whole roof redone after an accident.  We picked up the rv from a service dealer who was reccommended by the manufacturer.  We noticed that there might have been a problem with the solar panels and the batteries being depleted.  We called amd informed them and they said that we could have it checked close to home and let them know.  We didn't.  Two years later we are going to go on a trip again (had not used it) and in preparing, we notice that there are short circuit problems with the generator and A/C, shore power and the A/C, and the solar paas seem to be draining the batteries as well as they are not charging them.  We reached out to the company that rebuilt tue roof and told us to bring it.  My question (after two years), should I make the four hour trip to leave it and pick it up again at a later time, trusting that they are going to be honest about any mistakes made, or should I find a local service dealer to independently to look it over?  Will the service dealer who rebuilt it accept the local opinion?  With they wash their hands either way?  The panels were new Go Power.  The A\C did work both with the generator and shore power before tye accident.   I am accepting all opinions.  Thank you

  • after two years of nothing then a call out of the blue, I would have told you to pound sand.  they told you to get it checked out right away and you never did, and never called back for two years... the companies hands are all washed clean of any issue now.

  • You thought you had a problem, they told you have it checked close to home and let them know, and then you waited 2 years and did nothing? I would be surprised if the dealer still honored their original offer at this late date. Your opportunity for a free fix has likely expired.

  • 2 years later and things that basically have nothing to do with the roof?
And on top of it haven’t used the camper in 2 years with problems that are common due to lack of use and lack of maintenance…..

AND the DC solar panel issue is almost assuredly different than the problems with the AC system

Surely you must be joking about even considering asking them to do it for free.
