Golf cart fell off the ramps while loading

yesterday while loading the cart into the truck.

Lost traction and the rear wheels started spinning on the ramps, it was slightly damp (stupid me), slid, ramps slid, then the cart and ramps fell to the ground... yea, with me on it. Yes, the ramps were strapped down, they still slid and kicked out.. super dangerous, if it would have rolled over I would have been seriously hurt or killed.

so, I am re-evaluating my method for golf cart loading.. I think I am going to set something up like this fellow on youtube.

Safely load a golf cart into a truck bed

This is the second time I have fell off the ramps... sure, I fully expect some to say how stupid I must be. I fully agree... While Both times were separate situations...

First was no tie downs.. thought I had it figured out... Now I had to load in damp conditions.. more learning the hard way.

Also, my ramps are 7.5 ft, 1500 lb capacity arched Reese ramps

For me going forward, I will be winching my Cart into my truck and winching it back down.

Maybe there is a better way of securing the ramps. I am not sure.

Just be careful if you load your cart into your truck bed with ramps. If one little thing goes wrong, you are very likely to be on the ground.
