Good News!!!

You know the old saying about "if I had known better I would have had the Grandchildren first". I am now into a Great Grandchild who is 3.

Oh great. 2 more potential RVrs to crowd the campgrounds!!! ;) ;) TOTALLY kidding! Congratulations on your new grand babies!!! Cherish them, because as you know from being a father first, they grow up WAY too fast! Oh, and spoil them rotten! ;)

I was the other way around in my Mom and dads family... Six kids with only me right in the middle with two younger girls and three older girls.

I hit the woods at daybreak everyday and hide out all the time... All them girls want to do is dress you up in girl stuff hehe...

Then when I got married all we had was four girls - go figure... Must be in the gene's... This made all of the son-inlaws very special to me...

Congratulations to not only mum and dad but to the entire family on the birth of a baby girl. 66 years is far too long for a family to be lacking a female LOL. Was this your daughter and sil first child?
My MIL came from a family of 7 girls....all 7 had boys, totalling 38. All those boys had boys except for my husband he had the first and only girl. Shebecame the Princess of the family.

Congratulations are indeed in order, especially to the SIL who overcame the genetic push of his heritage. Sex of the child being determined by the Dad, this is no small thing.

Given the lack of little girls for these many long years, I presume there's a steep learning curve ahead regarding such things as Polly Pockets etc...do please post here in the forums for advice from those of us Grandparents experienced in such Important Topics!
