Best response yet. NRG stadium would have been a pretty safe bet until last Sunday as well. - CavemanCharlieExplorer III

Where is the best place to shelter in the event of a hurricane?
A: Indoors
B: Outdoors
C: Underground
D: In a shelter outside the storm area.
Hurricanes such as the remains of what hit Texas recently.. Do not (Generally) pop up like Tornados do, There are days, or weeks of warning.. And when a hurricane is due to hit an RV is a very good place to be... An RV parked in Kansas or Nebraska (Though during tornado season.. Well.. No state is 100% safe all year long) - GWolfeExplorerDid anyone catch the video of the guy floating down the creek in his car on that same page? I don't know which would be worse, both would be terrifying.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIIAt home I always go to the basement. The campgrounds I frequent have the bathrooms made of cement and they are the designated storm shelter.
- AnonymousSince a tornado can blow over 80000lb semis and loaded rail cars an RV doesn't provide any protection. Find a safe place and get out!

That's a good way to wind up injured or dead. Get to a shelter. It's your safest option.
X2
I didn't have time to get out of my MH when a tornado touched down in CG. It LIFTED one side of my MH up off the ground.
Afterwards they had to jack up my MH to remove all the chairs, coolers, etc that blew under it during the storm and nano time it was lifted up off the ground.
Neighbor had a big DP. It lifted theirs up too. Those two people will never be the same they were so frightened from the experience. Had the winds been more sustained both of us would have been flipped over.
Weight means nothing. The tornado always wins. :W
