Hey Atwood! How about a useful Fantastic Vent website?

Hello Atwood Mobile, please take note.

I went to your website: http://www.atwoodmobile.com/fan-tastic-vent.asp to check out your Fantastic Vent offerings. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page where it says:
View their website to get more information on their array of products which include: 12-volts fans, Endless Breeze and Ultra Breeze vent cover.

I found 2 PDFs - a sales brochure and a old/new parts list.

OK the old/new parts list is useful, but the sales brochure is so lacking of information that it is almost useless. It is too high-level. I don't buy RV products based upon feature symbols alone. I can read. I want details.

I don't care if you're not interested in building websites. PDFs are OK, but put all of the product information in a PDF - models, features, specifications, options - per model. Please.

  • Did I also inform Atwood? Nope. See item #4

    1) fantasticvent.com doesn't have an email address or contact form on their website
    2) Atwood's contact page doesn't have a Fan-tastic Vent entry in its "Product Line" field. You'd have to select "N/A - Other". In my opinion, that's akin to the trash can.
    3) The cell phone gets 450 anytime minutes per month. I'm not going to burn valuable airtime over this, and chasing down a LL would be about 67th on my TO-DO list.
    4) I'm getting free WiFi here. I can use it any time I want - I have to ask to use the phone.
    5) I suspect that there are a fair number of Atwood Mobile/Fantastic Vent employees who are also RVers and are members (or readers) of this forum who will see this thread.

I put it out there that I believe that the Fan-Tastic Vent website is significantly lacking in content and am hoping that it will show up on the radar of someone at Atwood Mobile/Fantastic Vent. I have no ambition to pursue it beyond that.

    Did you also inform Atwood?
  • I called three weeks ago for an arm and motor for one of the fans in my Revolution. 11 years old. Showed up a week later in the mail. Paid shipping only. Absolutely amazing service. I wouldn't even consider any other product.
  • Fantastic was the best in the industry. Unfortunately 3 key members of there company all passed within a few short months. The window had no alternatives to the sale of the company. Unfortunately Atwood is not noted for great customer service. I did need to call them this winter and a very informed gentleman told me that I did not need parts and told me how to make the repair at no cost. He was 100% correct and very helpful.
  • Too bad that they had to sell out to a Company with a less Stirling Reputation for Customer Service!
Such is Life and despite the shortcomings of Atwood I still feel that the Fantastic Vent is the Best in the Industry!
  • gotsmart,

Are you just not happy with Fantastic Vent's web site, or just trying to get more info about the product? If you need testamonials, there are plenty of us who will say that they are the best...both in product quality and support. I'll admit their site itself leaves a little to be desired but the info is out there. I've installed 2 of these in different motorhomes and got replacement parts for free afterwords. You can't do any better than that.
  • You made my point, twice. 1) you went to 3rd party sites for more information, and 2) the URLs in my original post do not even link to the company's own YouTube videos.

I'm saying that Atwood Mobile/Fantastic Vent has dropped the ball in regards to product information/promotion. They need to do better.
