Happens all the time.. However the fact is you and I (normally) do not know all the parking regulations and it may well be the trailer is NOT legally parked. I can not say for sure without being there, laying eyes on, and then hitting the government web site for a copy of the parking regulations.

But I know that in a lot of places. if that trailer has not moved by now it's illegally parked (So for that matter is the O/P's but he has a defense in that he can not move his trailer due to the other one)

Also, if the O/P's trailer is legally parked and was there first it may be the simple blocking of access makes the 2nd trailer illegally parked.

And there is more. I won't go into a full disucssion or detailed discussion of the parking laws in that community simply because I do not know them.. I seriously doubt the O/P knows all of them either. But it pays to do the research.

If the offending trailer is not legally parked than neither is the OP's trailer. He described storing his trailer on the street and somebody else who is obviously also storing their trailer on the street parking in front of him. So should he call the police to have the illegally parked trailer towed because it's blocking his illegally parked trailer? What happens if the police tow both?

I guess ya could set fire to the front trailer and hope it did not get to yours . Then the fire dept would move it for ya ! If it also burn't yours then the problem is solved , let the insurance company buy ya a new one .
That is what I would do !

Since we are also suppose to have the TV hooked up to the trailer when parked on the road this has not been an issue (I think there is a 48hr maximum here too), but when we have had to unhitch briefly during mods or whatever we've made sure the hitch came up to our driveway, so that no one could park in front of it.

I don't think the OPs situation is any different than someone parking a vehicle in front of the trailer, it's a free parking space, and can be used by others. 10ft on a quiet road sounds like enough to get the trailer on the ball at an angle, pull it out a bit then finish hooking up.

10 feet seems like plenty to me. I think the owner of the front trailer was being kind to leave any room at all. I also feel that if you leave any trailer where it can be blocked by some moron who doesn't get it, you may fit the description also.

I am going to guess the "10 feet" was more like 20 and he didn't have a problem. I would have posted pictures to prove my problem. Then proceeded to move the blocking trailer.

As previously mentioned, if there is any damage on it and you move it then I would think that the owner would say you did it when you moved it. Now he gets to have you pay for the damage.

Since it appears we are not going to get an update, it is time for wild speculation. My guess, the guy who blocked the OP in is actually one step ahead of the OP and is paying him back for when the OPs trailer blocked him in some time in the past. As they say, revenge is a dish best served cold. Kudos to the blocker!
