how many of you pull the radio fuse?
On both of our Honda CR-V's, the '07 and now the '13, both had/have NAV that required that a fuse be pulled. We had a cut-off switch installed to take care of that which was/is much easier.

- njtonyExplorerTo all 've owners. Be sure to pump brakes after starting need to plead off pressure in system or brakes slam on without warning. We found out the hard way.
- Snowman9000ExplorerI haven't towed any dinghy, so I'm like a virgin trying to imagine sex. Actually, I have test-towed with a dolly for a few miles. But never flat towed at all.
So, it seems like the time and trouble to load, unload, and store a dolly might not be any worse than flat-tow hooking, brake system setup, unhooking, stowing equipment AND required mid-day startups. (I know only some toads require the periodic starts.) - Blaster_ManExplorer

...OK, so I just went outside to look at the 2013 Honda CR-V's owners manual in the 'towing' section.
It basically says, to start the vehicle and run through the gears every EIGHT hours. It's says nothing about mileage.
We had a 2007 Honda CR-V and I recall that there was a mileage mentioned.

Yes...read the manual. Different requirements depending on the year. Our '14 says every eight hours. Used to have an '11...different requirements. - Mr_Mark1ExplorerOK, so I just went outside to look at the 2013 Honda CR-V's owners manual in the 'towing' section.
It basically says, to start the vehicle and run through the gears every EIGHT hours. It's says nothing about mileage. One thing that surprised me was that it says to move the lever from Park to reverse to neutral and then to drive, let it stay in drive for 5 seconds, then move to neutral and stop. It doesn't say go to 2 or 1 (but I always do).
The major thing is not to go up to Reverse from neutral... if done, the procedure needs to be done again.

MM. - Pop-Pop_CExplorerWe read, start every 6 hrs. Drug our 2011 CRV 30,000 miles in the last two years.
- GrampaR123ExplorerFYI.......our 2013 CRV Owners Manual says to run the transmission through the gears every 8 hours regardless of mileage driven. Apparently after that period of time the fluid gradually drains out of the areas needing lubrication.
And as in some of the previous posts, when we stop for lunch on long driving days, I do it. - RayChezExplorer

Well, I thought it was every 800 miles, but whatever the mileage, it's to lube the transmission.
I start the CR-V at the start of day and again at the end. Usually, we never drive more than 350 miles a day. It's a small task to do to make sure that everything stays lubed and protected.
Safe travels,
MM.
X-3 I believe it is 800 miles on mine also.
