Thats also sad to hear. I was reading the rules for Oregon which sounded fair. Basically, you get a 24 hour grace period to arrive or contact them. Then they cancel your remaining reservation, refund you minus the fee for the first day/night plus a cancellation fee. I like this because it opens up the spots for others to use. Anyhow, just MHO.

All Florida State Parks have first-come, first-served "nonreservable sites. They may or may not be available but if you have a reservation already you stand a better chance of getting moved into one. There are 161 state parks in Florida. not all have camping but many do and only a handful stay "completely booked". The Park staff can also help you find another park if they absolutely cannot accommodate you. When in doubt, ask the Ranger. lizzie

Like said above, call. Not sure about Florida parks but PA parks will charge you $10 to change a reservation. Small price compared to waiting till you get there and not being able to fit in the site.

I had a site over thanksgiving on reserveamerica it said 30 foot max. My new camper is 29 and I had plenty of room. Got lucky I guess

I agree, call. I've booked sites that indicated just barely long enough for us and it had plenty of room. Worst case, you may have to park your vehicle in the overflow rather than at the site.

Ditto on calling the park. Also check the pictures on the reservation site of the campsite. Is there an obstructions to the rear of it from the end of the pad? For instance, if it's a paved pad, is there anything 10-15' from the end of the pad? If not, then you may be ok. Normally there's about 10' of camper from the rear wheel to the rear wall of the camper. Measure yours and see. If there are no obstructions (including campsite directly behind your campsite) , then it may work for you. Or the entire site length could be 30' long. You may just need to park your truck in some additional parking. A pain in the butt maybe worth not having to cancel.

I agree, a simple call will probably "fix" your issue. I've found FSP rangers to be some of the best in the nation...unless they're completely booked, (unlikely) they will accommodate you...that said, I'd do it sooner than later..don't wait until you're at the park. IMHO..they will appreciate the heads up, and be more likely to assist you..good luck..Dennis
