You must be going to far for the time you have.
Must be poor planning in ones life and travel.
Another said he was threaten violence in as RV Park, you must pay to stay, maybe that was his problem.
Remember you can save 7 cents on a loaf of bread at W-M.
Never ceases to amaze me the whacko ideas some folks come up with to try to justify them being right and the rest of the world is wrong.
And here I thought we lived in a FREE society. I guess I wasted all those years fighting for freedom.
It's true, freedom is NOT free. - John___AngelaExplorerYah safety and RV park don't go into the same phrase for us. Any security issues we have ever had have been in RV parks or campgrounds. Welcome is another word that doesn't always seem to go well with RV parks. A few years back we pulled into a roadside campground around 0700. Attendant comes out, looks us over and sends us down to an area that would accommodate us if we unhooked. Fine. We follow standard procedure of turning on all docking lights, porch lights, scare lights etc etc (yep it's bright) lots of trees and branches to watch for. One of the neighbours comes over and says coming in that time of night with that many lights on risks getting them shot out.....all with a dead pan look. Said something else about supper hour blah blah. Hmmm. Not sure if he's kidding. Don't really care. Not taking any chances. Said "Ok then, sorry for the trouble". Slowly work our way back out, attendant comes out and asks what the problem is. We thanked him for his time and told him it just didn't work out. Stayed at a nice Flying J about 40 miles down the road. Paid 5 bucks to dump and fill, fueled up. In Bed and watching the news on the dish by 0930. We rarely stay at roadside campgrounds just because of this kinda thing. So much more convenient and secure in Wally marts, casinos and travel centres. When we get to where we are going we check into something nice and enjoy our stay.
To each his own. - trailertravelerExplorerFor urban stealth camping he needs an asphalt gray/oil spot black camo pattern and needs to get smoke gray or black covers for the A/C and roof vents.
- Water-BugExplorer IIWhy desert camo RV with jungle camo doors ? Must be so he can find his way inside.

supercharged--That's not true.
I Just came back from a trip and overnighted a few times at Walmart.
There were plenty of new, big rigs there of all sorts. All in the 100,000 plus range. Some were well over that price.
I guess they didn't quite have as snooty an attitude as others.
Maybe cheaper was the wrong word to use. I should have said they would rather spend there money on a neat RV to look good, then spend a dollars to be safer in a RV park down the road.
Maybe "safer" was the wrong word to use too, I've never been to a c/g with multiple CCTV cams, security patrols, police patrols, and a whack of citizens driving by looking for something suspicious to call the police about.
In fact I personally know of several folks who've had problems at c/g's, and a bunch more who've posted here and other forums, but I've never met a single person who had a problem when Wally-docking, boondocking, or overnighting at a Cracker Barrel, Lowes, Home Depot, etc., etc.
Crooks are more interested in isolation and opportunity, I.E. nobody looking, the edge of a big box store is NOT isolated. - Matt_ColieExplorer II

Supercharged,
You obviously have little experience with ONP at Walmart or other. I have had to either call for assistance from LEO or threaten violence on my own three times in paid-for RV parks (one was even called a "Resort". (What you were supposed to resort to I never did figure out.) Any number of the Walmart or Casino lots we have hold up in have cars with amber flashing lights and Security on the side prowling the lots.
But then, ours is a first class coach that is completely self contained and we don't even look for a dump and potable fill for four or five days. I sure don't need another case of athlete's foot, I use my own shower.
