We were at a State Park campground and saw someone staking their campsite out in an extreme way.
First let me say that the campsites are probably at least 50 feet apart, with lots of trees and brush in between sites, so no one would actually be cutting through the site for any reason unless they were going to that campsite.
This guy strung up clothesline completely encircling the open spot that was his campsite. Then he proceeded to hang bright blue and brown tarps from the clothesline to completely encircle his site and block off any views. You could see the tarps through the wooded vegetation from the campground road.
It makes you wonder just what he was doing to want to avoid anyone seeing him. Probably nothing bad, but then he could have been cooking meth? (just kidding). This arrangement remained up for several days until he left. I was very surprised that the Ranger (who drove through a couple times per day) didn't make them take it down. But I guess if the ranger was OK with it, then we shouldn't complain either. It didn't really impact anything but it sure looked ugly.
