I am a bit more nervous with the electric since I can't use de-flappers so if a breeze comes up, awning comes in... I have been told that it will take a good breeze but don't take the chance. Plus, here in Wyoming - what we call a breeze, other parts of the country could call a wind. :D
I use a pair of the cheap de-flappers from WM on the end of the electric awning that flaps a little in the wind.....have not had any problems. That same day had winds of over a little 20mph. I use my awning poles also.
