Yes, that's one alternative. Or I could simply use the bidet and not worry about the wet wipes at all or filling the trash can with used wet wipes. The bidet seems easier with less consumables than wet wipes.

Still not getting this. So you use this thing after #2 vs toilet paper. I can't see how this actually does the job, and if it does indeed do the job - and does it well, what happens to the residual water when you get dressed again? Or is there an air dryer associated with this thing? Or do you walk out with a wet spot? If not I would equate it with washing your hands but not drying them. Not trying to be wise @$$ - enquiring minds would like to know...

Yes indeed, on high quality devices they do have a fan. The one I suggested does not of course and does not cost $$$. TP to dry or wait a few seconds to drip dry.
