- JarlaxleExplorer IITry GMAC.
- matthewijenkinsExplorer@doxiemom and tsetsaf, I sent the photos to geico and everything looked good but when they found out it had no name brand they refused to do it.
- tsetsafExplorer IIIOur new rig is from a small manufacturer with low volume. We insured through Geico. They needed photos of front, side, and inside plus the msrp and our purchase price.
- doxiemom11Explorer IIYou should be able to add coverage for the camper onto/endorsed to your truck policy. This would provide comprehensive and collision coverage while it is on the truck in case of an accident. You do need to have some type of description and serial number.
- matthewijenkinsExplorerrav, that's a great suggestion. I'll do more research.
Tiger4x4RV, thanks! I'll try that…
Itchey Feet, what insurance company do you have on your truck?
Thx Golden and RGar.
I'll post back to let you know what happens. I was just surprised at the big companies didn't bother with it. I tried Geico, RV America, and a few others. - RGar974417ExplorerI built my own 6 x 12ft enclosed cargo trailer and have it insured through my business insurance with Erie Insurance.
- Golden_HVACExplorerCheck with Escapees.com Club. they have all kinds of members traveling in all kinds of RV's. They have member groups for heavy duty trucks, and sometimes they have problems getting RV insurance on their RV's. I think it might be Foremost insurance? But not really sure.
Many times a insurance company thinks a fifth wheel is the spare tire. You need to find a RV related insurance company.
Fred. - Itchey_FeetExplorerThe insurance we have says that it is covered while it is on the truck, and when it is stored, (in our shed) it is covered under the contents clause of the house insurance. Just one of the reasons we do not drop it off the truck in a campground.
- I had a custom Class C. AAA insured it after they inspected it.
